Bryon's Story A Mini-Documentary
Here is a mini-documentary we produced for SafeinHome about Bryon’s journey out of a terrible life circumstance to freedom and independence. It’s a story based upon the classic story arch. A hero, Bryon, wants to live independently but his disability requires him to live in a nursing home. Bryon faces insurmountable obstacles to get what he wants. Then Hope Human Services and SafeinHome enter the picture. They help Bryon overcome the barriers to his freedom. It requires much change and decision making but with the help of these two guides in his life, Bryon lives in his own apartment and is free to come and go as he desires. We love telling the stories of organizations that make a positive impact in real people’s lives, the community and the world. SafeinHome helps us fulfill our mission by helping people with mental and physical disabilities fulfill their dreams.
This video was filmed by Barking Squirrel Media in Tacoma, Washington over three days. The story line was determined by multiple discovery session through zoom prior to filming.
